What is summer work like at Arkea?

Albiona Ahmeti moved from Kosovo to Finland last year and started summer job at Arkea a couple of weeks after she moved. After the summer job, Albiona wanted to continue cleaning with Arkea.

- Last summer, I did cleaning in schools in Turku. I received good and thorough guidance for my work. The first weeks were really nice and after that I was able to work more independently. I liked the morning shifts because I would have the whole rest of the day to enjoy the summer. I have met a lot of nice people in Arkea, says Albiona.

Emilia Valtomäki was Arkea's summer employee last year. After the summer, the work at Arkea has continued part-time as a cleaner at the Turku City Theatre.

- The summer job at Arkea provided a nice counterweight to my university studies. Fitting work into my everyday life has been flexible. It has been interesting to get to know, for example, cultural sites and medical care through the work of a cleaner. On top of all that, I have made nice colleagues, who I keep in touch with in my spare time, says Emilia.
